A pregnancy bonding scan is an optional, non-medical scan that provides a maternal bonding experience for parents, family, and friends.
Like regular ultrasounds, 3D/4D ultrasounds use sound waves to create an image of your baby in your womb. 3D ultrasounds create a three-dimensional image of your baby, while 4D ultrasounds create a live video effect, like a movie -- you can watch your baby smile or yawn.
To get the best views of the baby, this scan is best performed between 28 and 32 weeks.
The 3D/4D bonding scan costs $350, and takes 20 minutes.
